The Art of Junk!
Upcycling is an art! Join us for the first Art of Junk contest, open to Fall Junk Bonanza vendors and community artisans! We'll feature the best entries in several categories, from furniture to home and garden accessories to wearable art.
The grand prize winner will get $500; cash prizes of $350 and $150 will be awarded for the second and third places as well. Enjoy the inspiration!

Tim Luke, HGTV's "Cash in the Attic" appraiser and founder of TreasureQuest Appraisal Group, will be in the house Thursday to shop with three lucky winners at the Bonanza and to sign copies of Flea Market Style magazine. Enter to win a chance to stroll the Bonanza on Thursday with Tim and see the goods through an appraiser's eyes! Register to win from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bonanza info booth. Include your mobile phone number and we'll notify winners just after 11 a.m. Meet at the info booth (each winner can bring a friend!) to walk with Tim, starting at 11:15 and ending at noon!

Gold-level partner Hirshfield's, a premier Minnesota paint manufacturer and retailer, will demo and sell some of its most junker-friendly lines. Among them: Cottage Paint, the self-priming, clay-based paint, and Benjamin Moore's Molten Metallics and Chalkboard Paint lines.

ReUse MN is the face of recycling in Minnesota. As the Bonanza's non-profit partner, Reusemn.org is a diversified consortium that speaks for reuse, rental and repair! One of its partners, Arc's Value Village, generously contributes a coupon in the Bonanza program for 20 percent off of goods at its many Twin Cities locations. Stop by the ReUse MN booth for an interactive display and tips on upcycling your curbside finds.

Meet Bonanza founder Ki Nassauer, the editor-in-chief of Flea Market Style and Flea Market Style Weddings. as well as the founder of KiNassauer.com. Her enterprises include a retail shop for junk-centric apparel and accessories and an online community supporting ideas and tips for DIYers. She recently launched FleaQuest, a national online directory of the best flea markets, antiques shows, vintage sales, antiques shops and architectural salvage centers. The original founder of JunkMarket and co-author of "Decorating JunkMarket Style" and "Junk Beautiful, Room by Room Makeovers," Nassauer also served as an editor and columnist for Country Home and is familiar to audiences via regular TV and public appearances.

Jo Packham, Editor and Author
The creator and editor-in-chief of Where Women Create, Where Women Cook and where women create BUSINESS magazines, Jo Packham, has added another title: author of "Pieography: Where Pie Meets Biography -- 42 Fabulous Recipes from 39 Extraordinary Women." She owns publishing house Chapelle Ltd., and cofounded The Creative Connection conference and market for creative women and entrepreneurs. Jo also opened and operated three upscale boutiques in her hometown of Ogden, Utah, along with her daughter, Sara, in a move that helped revitalize a historic business district.
