Fall Activities at the Junk Bonanza!
We’re busy planning the fun for the Fall Junk Bonanza Sept. 25-27! We will continue to update this space so check back again!
The Art of Junk Contest!
The Art of Junk contest returns to the Bonanza for its second year! Our contest is open to Bonanza vendors, students and the greater Minnesota community members as we look to showcase the best in creative entries put together with components that are at least 40 years old or older! We invite you to submit an entry in categories of furniture, garden decor and home sector (including but not limited to: lighting, wall art, sculpture and functional accessories). Our panel of experts in the fields of design, vintage materials and craftsmanship will choose one first-, second- and third place winner for the best decorative or up cycled entry using junk, castoff or vintage materials from a total of 10 finalists. Those winners will split $1,000 in cash prizes!
Enter by Sept. 15 on our electronic entry form here!
ReUSE MN is the face of recycling in Minnesota. As the Bonanza's non-profit partner, ReUSEmn.org is a diversified consortium that speaks for reuse, rental and repair! Stop by the ReUSE MN display to learn to make a hand-bound booklet using castoff materials. Don’t forget to pick up tips on upcycling your curbside finds. While there, you can also pick up a coupon from Arc's Value Village, a ReUSE MN partner, for 20 percent off at goods at any of Arc's Twin Cities-area locations.
